American Idol - "The Three Winners From The Final Group of Twelve and The Contestants For The Wildcard Show Revealed"

Millions of votes were cast for these final twelve contestants. But before the three winners were announced (top vote gathering male, top vote gathering female, and then the contestant with second highest vote), the twelve did a nifty dance routine to "Hot and Cold." And we are told that at the end of this evening's show, the Wild Card names will be announced.

The first of the twelve to be called up by Ryan Seacrest was Lil Rounds who deservedly took the first of the three stools. There is no question that she is a real talent with rich full vocals and stage presence.

Then Ryan called upon these five: Arianna Afsar, Taylor Vaifanau, Alexander Wagner Trugman, Kendal Beard, and Scott MacIntyre. Ryan told us to "take a hard long look" because only one of these five will take a stool. Who do you think it is? It was Scott MacIntyre taking the second of the three seats. He continues his incredibly motivating story and life as he enters into the top twelve. And he is here by sheer talent and talent alone. This is no sympathy vote because of his blindness but honest recognition of his singing ability by the voters.

The third and last seat is now up for decision. Both Nathaniel Marshall and Kristen McNamara were told "no." And then a big "no" was given to Von Smith and Felicia Barton. The final seat came down to Ju'Not Joyner or Jorge Nunez. Jorge won that last seat which was a shocker to me. Ju'Not Joyner has a much more impressive voice with a variety of musical selections. I am stunned by this vote.

Finally, the judges made their eight Wild Card Selections from the remaining singers: Von Smith, Jasmine Murray, Ricky Braddy, Megan Joy Corkrey , Tatiana Del Toro (huh?), Matt Giraud, Jesse Langseth, and Anoop Desai. 

Now, tomorrow these eight will sing their hearts out to win one of three remaining seats. And don't forget to return right here for my recap that is written just for you.
