About American Idol Contestant Matt Giraud
Matt Giraud auditioned for American Idol 8 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is 23 and from Kalamazoo, MI. He is a dueling piano player. He sang "I Don't Want to Be" for his first audition. He has made it to the top 36 of American Idol. He has made it to the top 13 after being selected by the judges on the Wildcard show on March 5th. On April 15, 2009 he had the lowest number of votes, but the judges used their one and only save to keep Matt in the competition. Matt was voted out of the competition on April 29, 2009 after making the final 5.
