About American Idol Contestant Nick Mitchell, aka" Normund Gentle"
Nick Mitchell auditioned for American Idol 8 in New York. He is 27 and from Brookfield, CT. He came to his first audition as Norman Gentle and sang 'And I Am Telling You' in front of the judges. Then they told him not to be funny and he sang 'Amazing Grace'. He made it to the top 36 of American Idol but did not make it to the top 13. He performed on the finale show on May 20, 2009 and received a Golden Idol award for "Outstanding Male".
