About American Idol Contestant Von Smith
Von Smith auditioned for American Idol 8 in Kansas City. He is 22 and from Greenwood, Mo. He sang "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" for his first audition in front of the judges. He has made it to the final 36 of American Idol. He was featured on the wildcard show on March 5th to determine if he would move forward to the top 13, but was eliminated at that point.
